Cairo Digest is the biannual publication emerging out of the Department of Architectural Engineering (ARCHCAIRO) at Cairo University. Each issue features a specific central theme, and the publication is established as a dynamic platform where academic, intellectual, and creative outputs converge to foster a vibrant intellectual interest in architecture, both local and global. With the full support of the department, its core mission is to document, archive, celebrate, and showcase exemplary student work alongside the evolving conversation on the built environment. Its comprehensive structure—featuring Foundations (showcasing exemplary student work), Perspectives (critical essays), and Timelines (achievements and collaborations)—ensures sophisticated thought on pressing issues is communicated effectively, primarily in English to maximize global reach and intellectual outreach.
